Daddy, what's an Utawarerumono?

Some weeks we present more or less standard fare in Week in Review: A turn-based JRPG, or another Spiders RPG that's often described as "Like the last game, but now in this setting." But sometimes we get lucky and have something unlike anything else that's come before, as is the case with the first review this week from Derek Heemsbergen. We also have newcomer Nathan Lee's second review for RPGFan, and a collection of news stories from John Alas, Mike Salbato, and Chris Gebauer.

You know at this point I shouldn't be surprised with what kind of dating simulators will be made, but nope every single time a new one comes around I always find myself asking, who thinks of this stuff! Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator is just one of those surprising ideas from the minds of the people over at Game Grumps, and the burning question I know everyone wants to be asked is should you play it? Dragon Quest Builders was a ton of fun to play, but there was plenty of room to build upon in a sequel. This time around it seems the world will be bigger and better than before and you can even play co-op with up to 4 players. The multiplayer aspect is something that is awesome in these sandbox games, since why build something amazing if you can't share it with your friends? Or better yet, work on something amazing together.

New budget versions of Dragon Quest I, II, and III are heading to the PS4 and 3DS, with this new release of DQI even being available for free for players who beat Dragon Quest XI. Will the second and third games in the series also end up being free? Maybe, we will just have to wait and see. Speaking of waiting, we look forward to hearing more about the western release of Dragon Quest XI. Specifically: When, and what platforms?

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception is an interesting mix of visual novel storytelling with the battle system of your typical SRPG. I have dance fever and the only thing that can cure it is more Persona Dancing games. We got a bit more info on the two new games, and I am sure we will be getting a ton more in the coming weeks and months.
