Dragon Quest XI continues to sell like hotcakes... wait, do hotcakes really sell that much anymore?

Launched last weekend in Japan, the latest Dragon Quest quickly sold over 2 million copies in its first two days, and now, a week later, they've added another million copies to that total. We don't yet know how many of these are PS4 or 3DS, but the initial sales reports listed 1,148,888 copies sold for PlayStation 4, and 950,315 for 3DS. It's reasonable to think the numbers may remain similarly close, but it will be interesting to track as the game remains on the market.

Thankfully, unlike Dragon Quest X, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is coming West in 2018. While platforms have yet to be confirmed, this could simply be due to the unknown release window of the Nintendo Switch version in Japan. Hopefully once that one has a concrete release, we'll learn that it will hit all three platforms out here. I mean, why wouldn't it? Stay tuned as we learn more, and yes, report on even more Dragon Quest news.

I'll just be here building stuff in Dragon Quest Builders.
