During a gameplay premiere event today in Hawthorne, California, Activision and Bungie revealed some juicy new info on Destiny 2! For those of you new to the series, Destiny 2 is a first person action game where players have to defend the last bastion of humanity against complete annihilation. Whether you're new to the series or a returning Guardian, Destiny 2 promises to offer an intense and fresh experience for all players.

After suffering a devastating attack from Lord Ghaul, the leader of the imposing Red Legion, Guardians must venture out into space to discover a slew of new weaponry and combat abilities. In order to oppose the Red Legion, players must reunite humanities greatest heroes and take back their home. From the destroyed remains of Europe to the moons of Saturn and Jupiter, Destiny 2 is sure to offer an expansive and engrossing adventure.

Familiar gameplay elements such as Public Events, Strikes, and Raids will be returning, along with new gameplay modes in The Crucible, such as Countdown, a new PVP mode where players are tasked with delivering and detonating a bomb at a specified area, while fighting off the opposing team. A Clan system is also being built into the game, allowing Guardians to unite together, similar to guilds found in other popular MMOs. Members of these Clans will have the opportunity to create banners for their Clan and acquire special equipment and experience for all Clan members.
