As part of its month-long exclusive coverage of Mass Effect: Andromeda, Game Informer has released three new screenshots for the upcoming sequel, along with brief descriptions giving insight into some of the game's systems.
The vehicle in this game is called the Nomad. It serves the same function as the Mako from prior games, only it has better controls and no weaponry. The team decided to focus solely on the third person gun-play, rather than have one system for the combat on foot and one for the vehicle. In this picture, we see the Nomad driving through the optional desert world of Elaaden.
Scanning will play an important roll in the game, and not just to will your codex with info about the universe. It also works with the crafting system to unlock new schematics for weapons and armor.
The main character Ryder is a Pathfinder, so she or he can unlock any ability in the game's flexible skill system. Other characters will be locked in to more traditional roles however.
Mass Effect: Andromeda comes out in the second quarter of 2017 on PC, PS4, and XB1.
