RPG Maker Fes Brings RPG Creativity to 3DS
How long before we have fan versions of Pokémon? 11.01.16 - 8:51 PM The RPG Maker series has enabled a number of independent game studios and creative tinkerers to turn out some surprisingly solid games over the years, such as To The Moon and Echoes of Aetheria on PC. The series has graced consoles before, but never the 3DS. That will soon change with RPG Maker Fes this November. Developer Kadokawa games is touting the myriad choices for would-be game directors to customize the attributes of characters, enemies, items, and much more. For example weapons, armor and accessories will not only have stats, but numerous "properties" and "resistances." Scripted events and collision detection are also entirely up to the creator, allowing for secret passages and detailed cut-scenes. Many of the settings can be adjusted with the stylus, hopefully allowing for a better user experience than a console controller alone. RPG Maker Fes comes out in Japan on November 24th for the 3DS. No western release has been announced.
