Dungeon Travelers 2-2 Reveals Dark Story Details
The game imagines a terrifying scenario of what could happen in its predecessor. 10.27.16 - 4:19 PM Famitsu recently unveiled details on Sting's incredibly intriguing dungeon crawler, Dungeon Travelers 2-2: The Maiden Who Fell into Darkness and the Book of Beginnings, that makes my interest in it just as large as the game's title. The game is a sequel to Dungeon Travelers 2 and imagines what would happen if the battle against the final boss in its predecessor was lost, and its heroes fell into darkness. It follows many of the cast members from before, headed by protagonist Fried Einhard, and looks at the changes the loss had on them. A couple changes are exemplified by Souffle now having a crow on her shoulder, and Yuni growing large wings. The game's story isn't the only thing that Sting has put effort into — they also made some improvements to the gameplay. The battle system is updated, the user interface is more intuitive, and some areas let you deal more magic damage than others, adding some strategy to the mix. Dungeon Travelers 2-2 is set to release in Japan in Spring 2017 for PS Vita. There's no word of a Western release yet, but if you want some Dungeon Travelers bliss, you can play Dungeon Travelers 2 which is available in the West for PS Vita — Stephen was pleasantly surprised by it in his review.
