Kazuhisa Wada directed the excellent fighting games form Atlus and Arc System Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Those stellar games came out in 2012 and 2013 respectively, and Wada really wants to make a Persona 5 fighting game now.
Speaking at Toushinsai 2016 Wada said that, "in regards to Persona 5 Arena, because we honestly put all out efforts into Persona 5, that's something we'll have to talk about in the future, but I really want to do another, and your voices are so important to us, so we'd really appreciate it if you keep sending your requests. Thank you!"
Persona 5 is currently available in Japan on both PlayStation 3 and 4, and will launch in North America and Europe on February 14th. For the Persona fighting fans out there, keep showing the love to Wada and his team! You just might get your wish....
