Sega has been hard at work retooling Valkyria: Azure Revolution based on the feedback from the first "Battle Trial" demo for its upcoming PS4 RPG. The "Battle Trial Version 2.0" demo, which release October 6th, will include the two "challenge missions" in addition to the battle on display at the Tokyo Game Show last September. However, the demo is only available to Japanese gamer who have the first demo or got a code from TGS 2016.
The gameplay flow will be pretty standard for a mission based RPG: in between missions players can equip weapons, guns, and grenades at Basil's factory (in the full game you will be able to upgrade items too), and upon heading out on a mission choose a team of four characters from six possible. Enemies killed in battle will drop items and ragnite shards that can be used as currency.
The two new missions are called "Grotsen Recapture," which tasks the player with recapturing an imperial occupied base, and "Valkyria Extermination Missoin," which pitts the boss against the Valkyrie Brunhild herself.
