Chroma Squad Arriving to a Ton of Platforms Early 2017
Stunt actors starting a Power Rangers-inspired TV show? Count me in!
09.08.16 - 8:29 PM

Chroma Squad, a tactical RPG with an exceedingly bonkers premise will come out for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PS Vita, iOS, and Android in early 2017. The game is already available on PC via Steam.

Chroma Squad follows the exploits of five stunt actors who quit their jobs to create a Power Rangers-esque TV show. You'll navigate your show's episodes in strategic, turn-based combat. The better your performance in the episodes, the more revenue you'll receive to improve your show. You'll be able to bolster your show by hiring actors, forging weapons, and building giant robots (there's "Giant Mecha combat" in the game, making it delightfully over-the-top)! Chroma Squad will come with several beloved RPG elements, including skill trees to improve your characters, and branching storylines.

You can check out the game's upbeat tone, colorful pixel art, and intriguing combat in the trailer below — the opening 20 seconds are worth the viewing.

Chroma Squad will be published by Bandai Namco and is developed by Behold Studios. I'm itching to play the game. Keep checking RPGFan to find out if Behold Studios can come up with another immensely creative concept!
