This summer at RPGFan, Kotaro Uchikoshi's Zero Time Dilemma is the game on everyone's lips, but that's just a teensy bit too new for Retro Encounter to cover! Instead, Davi Tesnovich and Robert Fenner sit down to hash over Root Double: Before Crime * After Days, the latest visual novel from Uchikoshi's longtime collaborator Takumi Nakazawa (The Infinity series, I/O). Set in a nuclear research facility undergoing meltdown, Root Double follows the harrowing tale of nine individuals as they try to escape with their lives. Sound familiar? We thought so, too, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Have a listen to find out if Root Double is a worthy companion piece to the beloved Zero Escape trilogy.
