The Banner Saga 2 Arrives on PS4 and XB1 July 24th
The Norse journey continues on consoles this summer. 05.13.16 - 1:07 AM Publisher Versus Evil has announced that Stoic Studio's The Banner Saga 2 will launch digitally on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 24. The title released on PC back on April 19th. For those counting, that's only a three month difference in release for the ports, which is awesome, especially because console gamers had to wait two years for the original Banner Saga to reach them after its 2014 release on PC, and clearly Stoic were focused on improving their release schedule: "We are happy that we were able to create a development schedule where the console version of Banner Saga 2 could come out shortly after the PC version," said Stoic Studios technical director John Watson. "Although our team size dictated what we could do with the first release, we knew that a two year wait for the sequel was just not acceptable, so we worked extremely hard to ensure that console gamers could continue their journey in a timely fashion." All of this is awesome, because in a few months even more people will be able to play a fantastic game. In regards to how they are approaching Banner Saga 3, Stoic said that "Our goal for Banner Saga 3 is to simultaneously ship on all platforms!"
