The first time we saw a Corpse Party title in North America was in 2011 on the PSP, but the series itself dates way back to 1996, when the first game hit Japanese PCs. This spring and summer, XSEED Games is bringing two unique editions of Corpse Party to North America, one for Nintendo 3DS and one for Windows PCs.
First, the 3DS Corpse Party is a remastered edition of the 2011 PSP game, featuring completely redrawn, high-res character sprites and backgrounds, newly arranged music, 3D art stills, and even four all new extra chapters exclusive to this version. Corpse Party will be available this summer on the Nintendo eShop for $29.99 USD, and will also be available in the fancy "Back to School Edition" retail release for $49.99 USD. This version will contain an 80-song soundtrack CD, three of which are 3DS exclusive, and the two mini figurines of characters Naomi Nakashima and Seiko Shinohara, seen below.

Interestingly, the PC release will not be rated by the ESRB. The 3DS version, expectedly, will receive an "M for Mature" rating.
Corpse Party for PC releases on April 25th for $14.99 USD, and will be available on Steam, GOG.com, and the Humble Store. Check out our Corpse Party PC gallery for screens, and the PC announcement trailer right here:
