Koei Techmo has announced the North American release date of Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book on PlayStation 4 and Vita systems on June 7, 2016. This will be the Atelier series' debut on the PlayStation 4 console. Atelier Sophie follows the young alchemist Sophie as she endeavors to unlock to secrets of a mysterious book that seems to possess a soul and harbor the vast secrets of alchemy.
The development team at Gust is touting this as the definitive Atelier game, having rebuilt the signature crafting system from the ground up. And of course, Koei Techmo America is offering a collector's edition exclusively through the NISA online store that includes:
- PS4 version of the game
- 2-disc original soundtrack featuring 38 tracks of original music
- 48-page hardcover art book
- Set of 5 5" x 7" mini art prints
- 40" x 26.8" cloth poster
