A Closer Look at Nights of Azure's Demon Helpers and Transformations
Because calling your helpers "Servans" is one letter short of being demeaning. Demon-ing? Dem... never mind.

Nights of Azure is nearly upon us: Koei Tecmo is bringing the Gust-developed title to North America at the end of this month, and has been sharing more and more details and media as a result.

While we have a fair amount of new media for Nights of Azure tonight — 40 new screenshots and 23 new and updated pieces of artwork — the focus of most of it is protagonist Arnice's demon helpers known as Servans, as well as Arnice's own transformation powers.

The Hotel above acts as Arnice's base of operations, where you can shop, save, review missions, and outfit your Servans. These demon helpers come in all shapes, sizes, and roles. These roles include the traditional attacker, defender, and healer roles, in addition to that of mages, tricksters, and followers. A successful battle may depend on the right combination of your Servans — you can bring up to four with you — so experimentation will be key. These assistants each have their own personalities as well, making your interactions with them potentially as diverse as this wood golem and... um... this... cow spine... globe... thing:

Arnice herself has some demon-flavored tricks up her non-sleeves as well. Based on the combination of Servans accompanying her, she has the ability to transform into one of five different demon forms. Below you'll find, from left to right, the powerful Armor Form that boosts both offense and defense, and the Phantom Form, ideal for ranged attacks. Remember that there's plenty more new images in our Nights of Azure gallery, so don't miss any of that, especially if you're in love with Gust artwork as much as I am. Some of what you see under today's date is brand new, and much of it is much higher-resolution versions of previously-seen artwork. But you can't say no to Arnice, can you?
