Publisher DotEmu has just made Ys Chronicles II available for purchase on your smartphone. The game goes for $4.99 on iOS and Android. This mobile port of Falcom's classic is chock full of features to please new and returning players alike. The game comes in two different graphical styles, the original graphics and the modern remake style (I wish Square Enix gave us this option). If that wasn't enough, you are also able to switch between different sound settings including a PC-88 option. A time attack mode has also been added and the game can be played at four different difficulty levels.
Yes, it does use a virtual joystick which is the kiss of death for many mobile games, but from from what I've heard and read, the haphazard nature of crashing Adol straight into enemies pairs well with this control scheme.
