Sian Blake, an English voice actress, was found dead with her two children on January 5th at her home in London. All three of them had been missing since December 13th. Her partner, Arthur Simpson-Kent, was arrested in Ghana and charged with three counts of murder.

Among several television appearances on the BBC, Sian Blake was known for her role as Yugiri Mistwalker in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Yugiri was introduced in Patch 2.2 as the first Au RA NPC. She is one of the most memorable newer characters as she acted as a gatekeeper to the immensely popular Ninja job.

Naoki Yoshida, the producer and director of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn had this to say the day after Blake's body and the bodies of her young children were discovered:

"Yesterday, I received unfortunate news from the agency of British voice talent Sian Blake confirming the passing of Sian and her two children.

Sian was a gifted actress, her masterful portrayal of Yugiri leaving a lasting impression amongst our fans. I had hoped she would be with us for many more performances to come.

I am deeply saddened by this tragedy and offer to Sian and her children my sincerest prayers.

The localization team had also come to know her well, and released this statement:

"There are no words to describe the shock and disbelief we felt upon hearing the tragic news about Sian Blake and her two young sons.

Though we only had the chance to work with Sian for a short time, we were glad to have such an accomplished and dedicated actress on the project. She brought life to a character dear to our hearts, and we will always be grateful for her contribution.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

This senseless crime has struck a chord with fans, players, and developers around the world. Sian Blake, you will be missed.
