Prescription for Sleep: Lullabies of Mana Review
Find yourself awash in a sea of soothing tunes. 12.07.15 - 8:11 PM Most of the time, saying a collection of music "put you to sleep" is anything but a compliment, but that's the intended goal of Scarlet Moon Records' Prescription for Sleep series. The first two volumes – released in May 2014 and April 2015, respectively, with reviews linked below – each offered a collection of songs that were largely from RPGs, and offered soothing takes on classic songs designed to allow one to relax. Released just last week, Prescription for Sleep: Lullabies of Mana continues the series' tradition, but instead of representing several series, the album exclusively features arrangements from Secret of Mana (or Seiken Densetsu 2 in Japan). For me, it's usually hard to go wrong with Hiroki Kikuta music, but I didn't review this (you can tell because it's not 4000 rambling words)! Give Davi's review a read for his thoughts on Lullabies of Mana, and speculate with us about what the next Prescription for Sleep album may hold.
