Yo-Kai Watch Launch Event Being Held at Nintendo World Store
Sure, Akihiro Hino will be there, but so will Jibanyan! 11.02.15 - 9:57 PM To celebrate the North American launch of Yo-Kai Watch, Nintendo is holding a large fan event at their Nintendo World store in New York. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern time on November 7th. Akihiro Hino, creator of Yo-Kai Watch and president of Level 5, will be in attendance and the first 75 fans will get the chance to take photos with him and have things autographed. Having the game's creator there is nice and all but we all know the real attraction will be the giant Jibanyan mascot. Jibanyan is the two-tailed cat yo-kai who is as recognizable to Japanese children as Pikachu. Attendees will be able to participate in a large scale version of the "yo-kai watch dance". This signature dance, which marks the end of every episode of the animated TV series, has taken Japan by storm. This event aims to spread the craze to America. Yo-Kai Watch is coming to Nintendo 3DS in North America on November 6th.
