Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories contains most of the same characters as its 3DS sibling, Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, including a witch named Tabitha and a wizard named Gareth. These two characters would visit the Lost Valley and offer quests to people. In Lost Valley these characters were unavailable for romance and marriage, but developer Natsume has announced that has been changed for Seeds of Memories.
The developer also discussed how players will be able to raise the affection of their possible marriage candidates and other villagers by giving them gifts or talking to them. Gifts can come in the form of crops, cooked meals, items from animals, or items discovered while foraging. Above every characters textbox will be an affection meter, showing how much they like the player. Natsume also hinted that marriage will play a key part in Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, so players should look to get their marriage on in this installment.
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will be released sometime this winter on Nintendo Wii U, PC, iOS and Android devices.
