Dragon Quest of the Stars Hits 1 Million Downloads on First Day
I guess Japan likes smartphones and Dragon Quest.

The latest entry in the series, Dragon Quest of the Stars, launched recently in Japan for Android and iOS and the game was downloaded over 1-million times on its first day. To celebrate the success, Square Enix is rewarding players with in-game gems.

The company originally planned to hand out 500 gems when the game hit 500,000 downloads but now they are giving away 1,000 gems for free plus another 500 if you download the game before October 18th.

Dragon Quest of the Stars seems very similar to Dragon Quest IX in its aesthetics and multiplayer emphasis. It's unlikely that it will ever officially come to the West, but you may want to have a go at the Japanese version if you can get your hands on it.
