They should release these things as a papyrus scroll.

In the run-up to Dragon Quest Heroes's Western release, Square Enix has released a pair of massive infographics to introduce the game's allies and enemies. Though many of the faces in both graphics will look familiar to Dragon Quest fans, we also get to meet four original heroes from Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below. The graphics and their transcriptions courtesy of Gematsu follow.

Allies

Luceus

Title: Captain of the Royal Guard of Arba
From: Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below
Weapon: Sword

Luceus, a steadfast captain in King Doric's service, prides himself on his carefully laid out strategies and tactical battle maneuvers. His commitment to a systematic approach to combat is such that even his own allies tire of his incessant need to lay out a battle plan...

Aurora

Title: Captain of the Royal Guard of Arba
From: Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below
Weapon: Sword

Battle plans be dashed! By the time they are laid out, count on Aurora to have flung herself into the fray, steel drawn! Some may call this lady of action brash or even quick-tempered, but make no mistake, she will protect the kingdom no matter what may come!

Doric

Title: King of Arba
From: Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below
Weapon: Mace

Many kings are content to sit upon their thrones while intrepid heroes toil to prevent the world from sliding into chaos... but not this one! Leading by example, he is found on the front line, inspiring his subjects with his unfailing optimism, good-natured humor, commanding belly laugh, and a rather intimidating quarterstaff!

Isla

Title: Chief Ingeneer of Arba
From: Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below
Weapon: Boomerang

Don’t be deceived by her feisty attitude or those flirty one-liners. Islanis so incredibly clever, she built the airship known as the stonecloud from the very fabric of the city of Caliburgh itself. Calm and collected, she rarely lets an opportunity to add to her extensive research slip by — just make sure you’re not the one she sees as that opportunity!

Healix (not playable)

Title: The Loyal Healslime
From: Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below
Weapon: That Smile!

This young healslime just oozes adorable from his every pore, and he’s magically unaffected by whatever's making the other monsters go crazy. He swears the crown he wears is a real treasure of some sort — he just has to find out how to ooze it!

Maya

Title: The Exotic Dancer
From: Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
Weapon: Fan

Seek out music, magic, and money, and you shall find Maya. A sultry and uninhibited dancer, she once used her talents as a cover to investigate her father's mysterious death. But now she can finally focus on her one true desire — finding true happiness through wealth!

Alena

Title: The Tomboy Tsarevna
From: Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
Weapon: Fists

This headstrong princess is also an accomplished martial artist. Against her father’s wishes and the better judgment of her retainers, Kiryl and Borya, Alena once set out to blaze her own trail through the world... And she's still blazing, much to Kiryl's dismay! Yoy!

Kiryl

Title: The Tsarevna's Retainer
From: Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
Weapon: Spear

Having never come to terms with Alena diving headfirst into danger, poor stressed-out Kiryl is always holding her back from what he believes is certain doom. With the Tsarevna still punching and kicking her way through every obstacle she encounters, it would seem he's done his job well — but the experience has certainly not been good for his nerves!

Bianca

Title: The Childhood Friend
From: Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
Weapon: Bow and Arrow

This bow-wielding country lass has had a hard life, having cared for her ailing father since childhood. Her no-nonsense attitude and heart of gold would make her a fantastic companion on the adventure of a lifetime...

Nera

Title: The Merchant's Daughter
From: Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
Weapon: Wand

A demure and polite young lady who just happens to be the daughter of the richest man in Mostroferrato. Gentle to all and kind to a fault, there's truly nothing about her that would make her anything less than the perfect partner for a lifelong adventure...

Terry

Title: The Lone Swordsman
From: Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
Weapon: Sword

This proud swordsman once sought to become a powerful warrior, seeking out legendary blades across the world. While he is not very trusting or easily befriended, one only needs to watch him fight to see his true value as an ally!

Jessica

Title: The Reluctant Heiress
From: Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Weapon: Whip

Jessica may be of noble birth, but this fiery young lady certainly isn't one for airs and graces! She may be a rebellious sort, but her powerful spells are nothing to scoff at. Just don't tell her what to do, make sure that your name isn't Yangus, and you'll be fine!

Yangus

Title: The Reformed Bandit
From: Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Weapon: Axe

Cor blimey! It's Yangus, one of the most feared bandits this side of the pickham! But keep your knickers on, Guv — he put aside his life of crime after meeting a hero who chose to save his life rather than leave him dangling on a bridge. These days, he's strictly on the straight and narrow, honest!

Enemies

Slime (first appearance: Dragon Quest)

The iconic Dragon Quest Slime draws near!

This iconic monster appeared in the very first Dragon Quest and has become a staple of the series, as it is the first monster players encounter in many of the games.

It gets its charm from its jiggly-jelly body and lovely round eyes.

Metal Slime (first appearance: Dragon Quest)

This cowardly Slime is rare and quick to flee, but the experience points are astounding if you defeat it!

A monster from the Slime family with a metallic body believed to be caused by mutation. It's known to provide astonishing experience points, making it highly sought after by adventurers. However, it's extremely difficult to find and defeat thanks to its penchant for running away and its metal body.

Gigantes (first appearance: Dragon Quest II)

A malicious and powerful one-eyed giant with a burning hatred for humanity!

A one-eyed giant said to be the anger of a terrible dark being given a monstrous form. It wields a giant club and confronts heroes without holding back any of its terrifying strength.

Healslime (first appearance: Dragon Quest II)

A kind monster that restores its comrades with heal spells!

A Slime monster with newfound mobility thanks to its dangling tentacles. Gliding through the air on its own magical power, this kind monster prefers to heal its allies rather than heal others.

Not only does it appear as a monster in Dragon Quest Heroes, Healix the Healslime is a special friend that bonds with the party of heroes as he travels with them.
