Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey Gains Past Final Fantasy Artists For Collaboration
The talent behind this game just keeps on impressing. 09.27.15 - 8:08 PM At Tokyo Game Show 2015, game developer Kabojo announced a new art collaboration for its upcoming RPG Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey. The art direction for the game will be led by CyDesignation, a Japanese game design and production company led by Hideo Minaba, art director on Final Fantasy V, VI, IX, and XII. The studio also employs Akihiko Yoshida as company director, who is known for his artwork on Tactics Ogre, Vagrant Story, various Final Fantasy titles, and Bravely Default. It seems Kabojo has been collecting elite JRPG talent for Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey. Other collaborators on the project have included Final Fantasy VII writer Kazushige Nojima and legendary game composer Hitoshi Sakimoto of Valkyria Chronicles, Tactics Ogre, and Final Fantasy Tactics fame. Kabojo also announced a new website for Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey along with a new trailer for the game. The website will be updated each week with a new video for Zodiac's characters, starting with Kadyn, a warrior of the winged fawlkon race. The association of dev talent responsible for some of my favorite RPGs of all time has me intrigued by Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey, and I look forward to learning more about the title before it's release. Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey will be released as a premium game for iOS in the US and Europe in October. It will come to Japan, as well as PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4, in early 2016.
