One of the last successful subscription based MMORPGs, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has hit a remarkable milestone with over 5 million registered users. This 5 million does not only reflect active players but includes anyone who has ever made an account. People who only played the free and month long trial are not included in the number.
Square Enix has released FF XIV in North America, Europe, Japan, China and most recently, South Korea. FF XIV has defied all odds by making such a strong resurgence and more than 5 million registered users is definitely worth celebrating.
If you are one of those players who fell out of touch with the game, you owe it to yourself to jump back in with the Heavansward expansion.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
