Final Fantasy VII Remake To Have Dramatic Changes To Combat
No one ever wants to use the ATB system anymore. 08.01.15 - 6:08 PM In the latest issue of OPM UK, Final Fantasy VII Remake's director Tetsuya Nomura talked a bit about the new combat system to be used in the Final Fantasy VII Remake. According to Tetsuya, there will be "dramatic changes" to combat, but it will still be recognizable. "We are bringing dramatic changes to the Final Fantasy VII Remake, so we're hoping that you'll look forward to additional information that we'll be able to release when the time comes," Nomura said. "And of course, that being said we want to clarify: we're not going to be changing it into a shooter or something like that. We are going to be bringing dramatic changes, but we want to make sure it's still recognizable." Nomura also stated that the team is looking to the Advent Children movie for inspiration and visual references. However they will not be using any assets from Advent Children due to the different technology used in it, and the fact that the movie is almost 10 years old now.
