One of this week's surprising announcements was Vanillaware and Atlus revealing a re-imagining of Odin Sphere, in Odin Sphere Leifthrasir for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

Not that any Vanillaware title is ever lacking in jaw-dropping 2D artwork, but this shiny new HD version certainly doesn't disappoint in that area: Check our our gallery for the first screenshots and character art. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is due out on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita in Japan on January 14, 2016, and first-print copies will include an art book. Atlas has also confirmed the game is coming to North America later in 2016.
