It's official: Dragon Age: Inquisition is leaving the last generation of systems behind. BioWare has tried to sneakily announce it, but word has spread. "All future" DLC and expansions will only be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, even though the base game and first expansion are playable on last gen systems.

Cassandra wants to console last gen console owners.

For those who are planning on buying a newer system and don't mind double-dipping on this game, BioWare has included the option to import your save from the previous gen version of the game to the current gen version. People are more than a little upset with this as there wasn't even a whisper of this happening back when people were buying the game for their PS3 and Xbox 360. One could point to the sales figures for Dragon Age: Inquisition on the previous generation of consoles as the culprit, but people are inevitably going to feel ripped off. Regardless, BioWare and EA are not the only companies that are beginning to solely focus on modern technology. For those who can afford it and haven't taken the plunge, it might be a good time for an upgrade.
