E3 2015: Dogmeat Will Be Unkillable in Fallout 4
He won't even need advanced power armor. 06.17.15 - 2:35 AM Many gigantic pieces of information have been unveiled since the announcement of Fallout 4, and one of them has many fans donning their speculation helmets: the lovable canine companion. The dog can be seen a fair bit in the trailer, and if you haven't seen it yet (WHY HAVEN'T YOU SEEN IT?!?!), drop everything and check it out below. Fans and future fans immediately became worried that poor Dogmeat was in for a terrible demise. Well, put that idea right out of your head. Todd Howard, director of Fallout 4, has confirmed at an E3 panel that your loyal buddy cannot be killed. However, he also mentioned that this does not mean your dog can't get hurt. If he sustains enough damage, he can be knocked out for a short while. In previous Fallout games, when an invincible companion became incapacitated, the player would have to wait a short while until they got back up. It is unclear whether this will be the case with Dogmeat, or if you will have to revive him yourself. Regardless, we can all breathe a little easier knowing that he'll be with you for the long haul. Fallout 4 will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 10th. Only five short months until we can finally emerge from the vault, once again.
