After announcing his return to the Metroidvania genre with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Koji Igarashi has conducted an online interview, answering select questions off of Twitter. Many of the questions revolve around his inspiration for the game's design, and it is a tantalizing insight into his thought process. Check out the video below with English subtitles.

After smashing through its Kickstarter goals, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
