Fire Emblem Awakening Sells Nearly 1.8 Million
It seems money beats sword, spear and axe. 05.26.15 - 1:06 AM I miss the days of detailed NPD numbers. Though they were often used a bit too much to justify console bias, in my opinion, they still represented an important finger on the pulse of what gamers actually want. Up until now, we had no way of knowing just how many copies Fire Emblem: Awakening has sold worldwide because these numbers are now hidden around a ton of market speak and comparison charts. Thankfully, a bit of leaked information gives us some insight into the popularity of Nintendo's venerable franchise. Renka, a music artist who will provide the singing voice for Aqua in Fire Emblem If, recently reported on her official website that Fire Emblem: Awakening sold nearly 1.8 million copies. That should make fans pretty happy, considering Nintendo seems to have finally realized they have quite the little hit on their hands. Fire Emblem If is out in Japan on June 25th for Nintendo 3DS. We can expect to see the game in America sometime in 2016.
