The new 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King will contain new scenarios not found in the original PS2 version. Thanks to this month's V-Jump the names of these scenarios have been revealed to be "Dhoulmagus' Past" and "The Hero's Childhood".
In the magazine excerpt above we get one screenshot from each scenario. In the first one it has Dhoulmagus saying, "I wonder how I can learn proper magic..." The second one is what seems to be a younger hero in his bed with a lady at has side.
Dragon Quest VIII is due out in Japan for the 3DS on August 27th. No Western release date has been announced as of yet.
