Atlus USA has released a new video for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker that features the game's relationship mechanic, dubbed the Fate System.
As your party members fight to prevent the apocalypse you can converse with them and strengthen your relationship, or as the game says "nurture your fates." Doing so will unlock further character exposition as well as provide concrete benefits in combat. First, characters will gain additional elemental resistance or unlock new demons to fuse. Once your fate is high enough, the two characters can engage in "joint skill cracking," where multiple characters can learn a skill from an enemy demon. See the video below.
