During a media briefing for Final Fantasy XI, Square Enix announced another new mobile RPG for the iOS and Android titled Final Fantasy Grandmasters. The game will be an online RPG, and is being developed by mobile developers Crooz.
Set in the Final Fantasy XI world of Vana'diel, Final Fantasy Grandmasters is a spin-off game that will allow you and your friends to fight monsters and collect loot together as you explore. It appears to almost be a mobile version of Final Fantasy XI, except more lighthearted.
Final Fantasy Grandmasters is in development for iOS and Android devices, and is slated for release in Japan this year. The game will be free-to-play with cash shop purchases. A beta test is expected to launch in Japan next month.
