Videos Show Xenoblade Chronicles X's Dynamic Character Creation and Setting
Ever wanted to explore a sci-fi world as a samurai clown with short shorts? Well now you can. 02.14.15 - 12:32 AM Fresh off the heels of the recent stream, Xenoblade Chronicles X has two new informative videos. The first demonstrates the immense versatility in the game's character creator. Players will have the opportunity to customize their protagonist's gender, face, hair, body size, skin tone, facial features, make-up, and even their voice. Some of the Monolith Soft developers have shared their own customizations to give an idea of how powerful the system is, which you can see in the gallery. The second video shows off humanity's home base on the planet Mira, New Los Angeles, at night. Like its predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles X will feature dynamic day and night cycles, so players will have to get familiar with the rhythm of the city's night life. The video follows Elma and Lynlee as they fly over the city at night to give players a tour. In one final tidbit, the game's director Koh Kojima revealed that the much hyped Off-TV Play functionality was mainly a result of pressure from Western gamers. The developers were skeptical that the game would stream properly given its size, but apparently the process works rather well. Xenoblade Chronicles X comes out on the Wii U on April 29th in Japan and later this year in the West. Make sure to check out dozens of new screens in our gallery.
