As we previously reported, Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea features two protagonists. This time we have details on Shallotte Elminus, aka Shallie, and several of her companions. Shallotte is a spunky free spirit who runs her late father's atelier and struggles to get by with free lance jobs from her mother Nady's network. She is rather inexperienced at alchemy, but luckily her childhood friend Miruca Crotze is a skilled alchemist who studied in Central City. Though frequently aloof, Miruca admires Shallotte's enthusiasm and supports her through research and frank, if sometimes harsh, advice.
Shallotte will also learn a great deal from the traveling magician Wilbell Vol-Erslied. Wilbell's youthful visage belies her age and experience, and when she is not searching the Dusk land for powerful spirit magic she provides counsel and mentoring to Shallotte.
Other important characters in Shallotte's story include earnest government official Solle Grumman, inept merchant Katla Larchica, unflappable treasure hunter Homura, and romantic treasure hunter Reyfer Luckberry. She will need to focus her frenetic energy and capitalize on the talents of her companions to build up her father's shop and achieve her dreams. Those who pre-order through Amazon.com will receive 2 exclusive compilations of music as an extra bonus. Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea comes out in the US on March 10th for the PS3.
