Over the last few years, Blizzard have sold in-game non-combat pets for World of Warcraft in order to raise money for important causes like the Make-A-Wish Foundation or in support of the Japanese earthquake relief efforts. In December of 2014, Blizzard focused their charitable efforts on helping fight Ebola.

By "adopting" the space goat Argi in the months of December and January for $10, philanthropic players supported the American Red Cross in their efforts to provide Ebola relief efforts in Africa. Blizzard donated 100 percent of the Argi proceeds, ultimately totalling $1.9M US.

Although the charity fundraiser if over, players can still purchase Argi and explore Azeroth with the cute space goat.
