Bloodborne's Chalice Dungeon Detailed
Umbasa! 12.08.14 - 3:41 AM Bloodborne got a good deal of attention during the PlayStation Experience keynote, but there was also a developer roundtable with director Hidetaka Miyazaki (which, unfortunately, was closed to video). The biggest piece of news to come out of the meeting was the Chalice Dungeon, a procedurally generated environment filled with traps, monsters, and unique encounters for each player who completes the ritual necessary to enter. Miyazaki went into further detail on the dungeon during the roundtable. The area will be generated and stay static for the player after its creation. This allows players to familiarize themselves with the unique challenges to their world and eventually overcome the trial. Players will be able to "share" their dungeons and strategies with others, though the specifics of this feature were admittedly vague. A few extra bits of information came out of the roundtable, including the fact characters will be fully customizable in appearance just likes the Souls games, and there will be some kind of competitive multiplayer component to the experience. It seems like Miyazaki is staying coy on the specifics, but we won't have to wait much longer for answers. Bloodborne is out on March 24th for Playstation 4.
