Gamers In Japan Will Soon Be Able To Stream Final Fantasy VII On Their Mobile Devices

Square Enix Japan plans to launch Dive In, it's cloud based mobile gaming service, on Dec. 3rd. The service is currently only available in Japan and allows users to rent PC versions of certain Square Enix games by subscribing for a set period of time and streaming the game onto a mobile device. Users subscribe by the game, with prices running as low as 150 yen (about $1.25) for 3 days and as high as 2,200 yen (about $18.50) for a full year.

Games and prices available on Dive In include the following:

Final Fantasy VII International

3 days – 200 yen
10 days – 400 yen
30 days – 1,000 yen
365 days – 1,429 yen

Final Fantasy VIII (Available December 11)

3 days – 200 yen
10 days – 400 yen
30 days – 1,000 yen
365 days – 1,429 yen

Final Fantasy XIII

3 days – 250 yen
10 days – 500 yen
30 days – 1,250 yen
365 days – 1,800 yen

Final Fantasy XIII-2 (Available December 11)

3 days – 300 yen
10 days – 610 yen
30 days – 1,530 yen
365 yen – 2,200 yen

The Last Remnant (Available December 11)

3 days – 250 yen
10 days – 500 yen
30 days – 1,250 yen
365 days – 1,800 yen

The Dive In service officially launches for iOS and Android systems in Japan tomorrow. No word has been listed for a Western version of the service, but we'll keep you posted as more information becomes available!
