Majora's Mask 3D Will Feature Brand New Content
Like fishing! And, unfortunately, some New 3DS only additions. 11.15.14 - 2:02 AM In an interview with Famitsu magazine, The Legend of Zelda series producer of Eiji Aonuma has revealed just some of the new features that Majora's Mask 3D will include. "...Personally speaking, I have some really troublesome memories from originally developing Majora's Mask, and there were many things I would have liked to change if we were to ever do a remake," Anouma said. He explained they were under difficult time constraints when releasing Ocarina of Time 3D and he felt development was rushed, but that's not the case this time. "We didn't make the game easier," Anouma confirmed. "There aren't any extra hints thrown at you when you’re not sure what to do, but there are all kinds of other mechanisms in the system that I think you’ll notice." He continued, "While I can't say much about it... one thing— a boss fight has been changed. Upon trying a boss fight on the original version for the first time in a while after playing the remake, it's like, 'how do I beat this guy again?' it's that type of content." So what new content will there be? "You’ll get to fish!" Anouma revealed. Although... it makes you wonder whether you’ll have that free time to fish in the world of Majora’s Mask. So we’ve added fishing ponds. Two of them, too. There might be something monstrous you could fish out, so please look forward to it." Fishing? Yeah, sure. We've got time. And, of course, the controls will be updated and make use of the gyro sensors. There will apparently be some content exclusive to the game when played on a New Nintendo 3DS, but we don't have any idea what this will be yet. Fortunately for all players, the graphics will be just as good on both consoles. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D will be released in spring of 2015.
