The latest issue of Famitsu revealed that the sound novel Higurashi When They Cry will be getting an updated release on Playstation 3 and Vita. The game is similar to a visual novel, but allows players to take on the roles of different characters and see things from their perspectives. This new version of the game will feature over 100 audio tracks, including ones from previous games in the series. The game will be fully voiced and include scenarios and scenes that were originally part of drama CD released separately.
Higurashi When They Cry will release in Japan on March 12th, 2015. No word on a North American release.
