CD PROJEKT RED has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is already set to include 16 post-launch DLC packs. That's right. Sixteen. Set to launch on February 24th, the first of these DLC packs will follow the next day and include Temerian Armor for you (and your horse!) and also hair options for Geralt. Following that release, two more DLC packs will come out each week.

Again... all for free.

CD PROJEKT RED has been very careful to stress that players won't need to do anything extra to get these packs. No pre-orders or special editions necessary. We've included their statement concerning WHY they made this decision below.

"As gamers, we nowadays have to hold on tight to our wallets, as surprisingly right after release, lots of tiny pieces of tempting content materialize with a steep price tag attached. Haven't we just paid a lot of cash for a brand new game? As CD PROJEKT RED, we strongly believe this is not the way it should work and, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we have decided to do it differently. Cutting to the chase, everyone who buys Wild Hunt will receive 16 specially prepared DLCs absolutely for free, regardless of platform."

While this is certainly a bold move on the part of CD PROJEKT RED, it's an approach that is sure please many fans.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to release on February 24th of 2015 for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Check out our preview and galleries below for more on this exciting title!
