Including a new trailer!
08.11.14 - 10:08 PM

Yesterday, we brought you details on the newly revealed Mega Pokémon: Altaria, Lopunny and Salamence for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire on Nintendo 3DS. Now, The Pokémon Company have delivered more details on these new evolutions, along with brand new screenshots.

Building on yesterday's details, Mega Altaria (left) will have improved Attack, Special Attack and Special Defense; Mega Salamence has a massive increase to Defense; and Mega Lopunny (right) gets a boost to Attack and Speed. Check out our updated gallery for even more new screenshots of the trio.

Also mentioned yesterday, Pokémon can even Mega Evolve in contests. Just as in the original Ruby & Sapphire, Pokémon will be able to participate in contests based on Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness, and Toughness. The first round will involve dressing up your Pokémon, while the second is all about showing off their moves.

Above are just a few of the new screenshots of Pikachu in costumes. According to new information, only one particular Pikachu can be dressed up in this way, and you first acquire her after participating in a contest. She has a black heart-shape on her tail (see left image above).

You can see all of the above details, including the return of horde battles, in action by watching the newest trailer below:

And, finally, a distribution for a Shiny Beldum has been announced for North America too. It will be available for download via internet in Alpha & Omega on November 21st, the same day the game is released, for a limited time. It will come holding the Mega Stone needed to evolve into Mega Metagross. While only mentioned for North America at this stage, it will likely be available to all players across the globe.

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will be available worldwide on November 21st (28th in Europe) on Nintendo 3DS.
