Tragedy struck this past month, as perennial Rhythm Encounter co-host Derek Heemsbergen was eaten alive by a rampaging mass of natto (that's fermented soybeans) while traveling overseas. Fortunately, he managed to escape through a clever combining of wit, charm, and potpurri, though his untimely consumption did result in his missing the recording of today's episode. While we all wish Derek a safe trip home, former guest Mike Salbato is upgraded to "show regular" alongside another new face, friend-of-the-show Caitlin Argyros.
