Rhythm Encounter Episode 14: Inn Vogue
Grab a pillow, strike a pose, also listen to the end for free musics! 07.02.14 - 1:15 PM Rhythm Encounter returns with... well, not a vengeance. More like a desire to nap. We take you through our favorite "sleepy" RPG themes interspersed with some inn jingles that may tickle your nostalgia bones. Try not to fall asleep while listening. Or do, if it makes you that comfortable. We're not about to judge. And very importantly: we're giving away music! Full details are featured at the end of the episode, but keen listeners who correctly identify the inn jingles and songs used in the episode by email to our new music@rpgfan.com account can score copies of Prescription for Sleep and Monarch: Heroes of a New Age Variations and Arrangements! Be sure to listen all the way through the episode for the full contest explanation! As always, we welcome any feedback you may have, including topic suggestions, track requests, or ideas for how we can improve. (We also love fanmail! Hint hint.) You can reach either Stephen or Derek directly through our email addresses on the podcast page, or the show in general at music@rpgfan.com! Rhythm Encounter Episode 14: Inn Vogue Don't just sleep there, let's get to it. Grab a pillow, there's nothing to it. The latest and laziest episode of Rhythm Encounter features a bevy of sleepy, gentle, relaxing RPG melodies. We bring you some of our favorite picks across a smattering of beloved games, from the tranquil world of Mana to the dark ambiance of Koudelka. And it wouldn't be an episode of Rhythm Encounter without Stephen including something from Yoko Shimomura and Derek fawning over Xenoblade Chronicles. Thankfully, guest Michael Salbato appears again to knock some sense into us and diversify the lineup. Keep those ears peeled (if such a thing is possible, although it sounds very painful) for the inn and/or resting jingles from classic RPGs that we've sprinkled throughout the episode, too-- and make sure to listen all the way to the end, because we're running a contest regarding those inn jingles which could net you free music!
