Bandai Namco have announced the next character who will join the party on Tales of Zestiria. Dezel is a member of the Heavenly Tribe (just like Mikurio/Miklio and Edna) and, apparently, fights with a pendulum. Whether he uses it to execute Artes or just belts people with it is not yet clear. Part of me wants it to be the latter.

In the latest issue of Jump magazine, the battle system used by the game is title "Fusionic Chain Linear Motion Battle System." Its new features include the "Around Step", a "Blast Gauge" that allows you to push enemies away and recover health, and a "Spirit Chain" feature that lets you combine attacks while draining the gauge.

Tales of Zestiria will be released on PlayStation 3, but no date has been announced yet.
