Final Fantasy XV Details Emerge From Japanese Xbox One And PS4 Websites
If FFXV is described as an action game, is it still an RPG?

Fans of Square Enix’s long running RPG series likely expected information about Final Fantasy XV at E3, but Japan’s official Xbox One webpage has broken some news with a description of the game's main character and battle system.

According to this information, Final Fantasy XV will feature an "unprecedented" amount of "high action" in this entry because of the specs offered by this console generation's hardware. Party members will be able to "move freely across the whole screen" (whatever that means) and are interchangeable in and out of battle for better strategic effect. We’re also told that Noctis, the main character, is an heir to royalty who happen to possess the last crystal in the world.

The Japanese PS4 site, however, has a different description. While the PS4's teaser blurb doesn’t contradict anything said on the other site, there is some different information. Battles have "greatly evolved from previous games in the series" and it also describes FF XV as an "action game." The battle system will feature character combination attacks, "seamless" transition from battles to the field, party member collaboration, and Noctis will use a wide set of weaponry to off his foes.

Final Fantasy XV is expected to make a début at E3 in some capacity. We shall see. In the mean time, check out some new screenshots by clicking the link to our gallery below.
