Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Information for North American and European Markets
Playstation Vita getting another jolt of murder, mystery, and mayhem.

NIS America recently announced a specific date for Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, the sequel to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Released by developer Spike Chunsoft (known for the original Danganronpa and Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward), Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair will once again have players thrust into the role of a high school student tasked with solving murders.

Moving away from the previous school setting, this mystery takes place on the uninhabited Jabberwock Island. Brought to the island by your teacher, the elite of Hope's Peak Academy have been promised a “lovey-dovey, heart-throbbing school trip.” Instead they are met with the return of Monokuma, the "principal" of the academy. A strange teddy bear with the power to manipulate the students into killing each other, Monokuma gets the game started with a bang. While on the island, players will be expected to search for clues, interview classmates, discover how murders have been committed, then finally present evidence at a Class Trial. Once you're ready to make an accusation, several timing and reflex-based game systems will be involved to close the case.

These elements, combined with character designs by Rui Komatsuzaki, complete the dark and twisted tone of the game.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair releases for the Playstation Vita on September 2nd and will be priced at $39.99. Be sure to check out our gallery here for more screenshots and artwork!
