New Gameplay Details for The Guided Fate: Cross Thesis Awakening
Angel? Devil? Doesn't matter, get wings.

New information on The Guided Fate: Cross Thesis Awakening's gameplay mechanics has been revealed: battle mechanics and the benefits of interacting with other characters. For one, there's the main character Shin and his in-battle abilities. Shin will activate a "god mode" for battle and you'll be able to choose between two gods, an angel or demon variant. Attacks, stats, skill sets, and weaponry are dependent on the mode you're in, as is Shin's outward appearance.

Shin's angel mode, shockingly, will supply Shin with holy power and he'll focus more on close quarters fighting while using a sword. The angel mode borrows Jupiel Soraumi's strengths. Then there's the demon mode, where Shin utilizes the abilities Arle Agarie. While the angel mode is adept at warrior-style combat, the demon mode excels in magic and long-range antics. An added benefit of the demon mode is that it provides Shin with life-draining attacks which restore his health. Alternating between these modes becomes vital not only in battle but for dungeon exploration. Field traps will vary with Shin's current status as a god.

Shin's skill with these two modes will be affected by his interaction with Jupiel and Arle outside of battle. Essentially, conversation with the two enhances Shin's skill with one of the modes.

The Guided Fate: Cross Thesis Awakening will be available on the Playstation 3 in Japan on July 24, 2014. Be sure to check out our brand new gallery, linked below.
