Scans from the Shonen Jump magazine releasing next week have provided us with details regarding the new Tales of Zestiria character Lyra ( ライラ). Voiced by Miyu Matsuki and designed by Mutsumi Inomata, this new character is set to be the instructor for the main character, Slay.

Known for letting her imagination run wild, Lyra has been spending her days waiting for someone to arrive showing the potential become a Fon Master, or Doshi. Upon first meeting Slay, Lyra immediately sets up a marriage contract with him and becomes a vessel of the Family of Heaven. After doing so, Slay is given the ability to calm the Hyouma loose in the world. Lyra is also noted as using books/pages as her weapon of choice.

This edition of Shonen Jump also lists the slogan of the upcoming Playstation 3 title as "Tradition will one day become 'hope'." As with most Tales games, this new title will also have its own genre. This one has been labeled "An RPG where passion lights up the world."

Namco Bandai has not announced a specific release date at this time, but we'll be sure to give you more information as it becomes available!
