Earthlock: Festival of Magic Relaunches Kickstarter Campaign
A wild indie RPG reappears!

Snowcastle Games has turned to Kickstarter once again to fund efforts to develop Earthlock: Festival of Magic. The company had originally introduced its Kickstarter attempt for the game in December 2013, but Snowcastle pulled the plug at the time as console launches and the holiday season were likely chipping away resources from anyone willing donate towards the funding.

Snowcastle is an independent developer who are known for their first original title Hogwartz, which in 2011 received praise in reviews from USAToday.com Wired.com, and was included in Apple's AppStore Best of 2011 list.

As for Earthlock: Festival of Magic, the games will take elements of turn based RPGs combat systems while adding “a few refreshing twists” to battle mechanics. Parties are comprised of pairs rather than individual members. The pairs can also be altered and changed however the player wants, allowing for various character pair combinations.

Snowcastle Games' Kickstarter goal is set at $150,000; they've managed to meet $30,000 thus far and have over a month left to go. If the developers meet their goal, gamers can expect Earthlock to be released on Mac and Windows in early 2015. PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One releases should follow shortly thereafter.
