Small indie developer Mvisioning have launched Toby's Island! on Kickstarter. The plot-driven 2D RPG involves monster-raising, town-building and exploration amongst a blend of randomized and controlled story events.

The story will follow a young boy who must fulfill the task set by his ancestor of ending a great evil. To do so, he will explore an island, meet spirit companions, raise monsters to fight alongside him, solve puzzles, and gather resources for building and crafting.

Assuming funding is successful, Toby's Island! is estimated for a May 2015 release.
